2019 Summer Outlook

Summer is perhaps the most anticipated season in Canada. From sunny days at the cottage to long walks on your favorite walking trail, summer is a season for all to enjoy.

It looks like summer across Canada will be both good and not so good depending on where you are.

Temperatures:

Temperatures across Atlantic Canada will be near normal. Both Ontario and Quebec will see near normal temperatures. Across the Prairies, Manitoba and Saskatchewan will likely see near normal temperatures also, Alberta will be the exception where below normal temperatures are expected. British Columbia, Yukon and most of Nunavut will probably see above normal temperatures with near normal expected elsewhere.

Precipitation:

Most of Atlantic Canada will see near normal precipitation with the exception of Nova Scotia and most of Prince Edward Island. Quebec and most of Ontario should also experience near normal precipitation except for northwestern Ontario. Above normal rainfall is expected across the Prairies. Across British Columbia and Northern Canada near normal precipitation is expected.
