Cold Air Sinks Further South Across the Prairies #ABwx #SKwx #MBwx

The extremely cold weather that has been hovering over the northern Prairies basically all week, is going to sink south.

Extremely cold wind chills will continue into mid-next week.

Over the next several days wind chill values from minus 45 to 50 are expected.

Temperatures this low are exceptionally dangerous. Frostbite can develop within minutes.

There is also a risk of hypothermia or dangerous overcooling of the body.

Also, make sure pets are not left outside.
