Earthquake off the Coast of British Columbia

There was a 4.5 magnitude earthquake on Friday afternoon off the coast of British Columbia.

It was lightly felt around Vancouver Island and Greater Vancouver.

There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected.

No tsunami was expected.

The earthquake was at a depth of 38 kilometres and was 29 km south-southwest of Bamfield, British Columbia.

British Columbia is no stranger to earthquakes. The province is the most earthquake-prone in all of Canada.
