Extreme Cold Across Eastern Prairies

Extremely cold temperatures are expected across the eastern Prairies again tonight.

Across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and portions of northwestern Ontario, there are extreme cold warnings in effect. Wind chills of minus 40 or colder will be felt over the southern Prairies tonight and Tuesday morning.

Cold weather is expected to continue over the next few days. Temperatures will moderate by Thursday.

In wind chills this cold, frostbite can occur within 5-10 minutes on exposed skin.
