Heavy Rain & Thunderstorms Across Ontario & Quebec

The system that is bringing severe weather to a large swath of the United States will bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to Ontario and Quebec.

Across northeast Ontario rainfall amounts of 20 to 30 mm are possible.

Over the western half of Southern Ontario, severe thunderstorms are possible. Areas south of Lake Huron could see winds gusting to 100 km/h from the severe thunderstorms.

Southern Quebec will also see rain on Sunday.

Rain will begin Sunday morning and intensify during the day. Rainfall amounts between 20 and 40 millimeters are expected.

The heavy rain will bring a flooding risk from rising water levels.

The rain will continue through Monday.
