Possible tropical development in the Atlantic

There continues to be a focus on a tropical wave located over the central tropical Atlantic Ocean. The wave has become somewhat better defined today but continues to only produce limited shower activity.

A tropical depression could form during the early to the middle part of next week as the system moves westward over the tropical Atlantic.

On Tuesday the system will approach the Windward Islands and will move across the southern Caribbean Sea on Wednesday and Thursday.

Additionally, an area of low pressure is expected to form over the northern Gulf of Mexico early next week.

Any development of this system would likely be slow to occur.
