Severe Weather Continues in California

The weather pattern in California continues to be active.

Heavy rain and flash flooding will wind down across portions of Southern California over the course of the day.

A system will produce rain and higher elevation snow through this evening over parts of central and southern California.

Winter storm warnings remain in effect across the Sierra Nevada. In the heaviest snow, 10 to 18 inches is possible above 7,000 feet.

An additional 8 to 15 inches is expected from 5,000 feet to 7,000 feet.

There is also a risk of avalanches in some areas.
