Strong Earthquake off the Coast of El Salvador

There was a strong earthquake off the coast of El Salvador in the early morning hours on Thursday.

The 6.6 magnitude earthquake was centered 27 km south-southeast of La Libertad, El Salvador.

Sea-level rises of up to 30 centimeters were possible along the coast.

Seven aftershocks were reported, all were between 4.1 and 5.0.

So far there are no reports of any damage or injuries.
