Two Earthquakes Strike Indonesia

There were two strong earthquakes in Indonesia on Thursday afternoon.

The first was a 6.2 magnitude earthquake 73 km north-northeast of Pendok, Indonesia followed by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake 71 km north-northeast of Sumbersari, Indonesia.

Both were at a depth between 550 and 650 km.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.

No tsunami warning was issued.

Indonesia is located on the 'Ring of Fire', in the Pacific Ocean which is prone to frequent earthquakes.
