A Colorado Low is expected to sweep through southern, and parts of northeastern, Ontario today.

This intense low-pressure system will bring with it, thunderstorms and above-average temperatures to southern Ontario, due to this area being located east of the low (the warm sector of a low-pressure system). Most of these thunderstorms will be non-severe in nature, but a few isolated-severe thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, especially in southwestern Ontario and the GTA. The main risks will be hail measuring less than 2 cm in diameter, up to 90 km/h wind gusts, and possible isolated flooding.

We can expect chilly temperatures and a rain/snow mix to areas in northeastern Ontario, due to this area being located on the west side of low-pressure system (the cold sector of a low-pressure system).

A few flurries are even expected in parts of northwestern Ontario today.
