3 Fired after Warehouse With Unused Supplies Found in Puerto Rico

Thousands of homes suffered varying degrees of damage while large swaths of vegetation were shredded by the hurricane's violent winds.

Three people have been fired after a warehouse filled with unused disaster relief supplies was found in Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico Governor Wanda Vázquez fired the emergency management director, the head of Housing and the head of the Department of Family.

Governor Vázquez said “actions by government officials that have been completely unacceptable.”

The unused supplies were from the Hurricane Maria relief.

There have also been calls for Vázquez to resign.
