6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Near Fukushima
On Sunday there was a 6.3 magnitude earthquake 54.9 km east-northeast of Namie, Japan.
The earthquake struck at 7:23 pm local time at a depth of 38 km.
It was near the Fukushima area.
Utility companies were checking on the nuclear reactors. Both Fukushima Daiichi and Daini were not damaged.
Authorities said there were no reports of damage and there was no tsunami danger.
