69 Car Pileup in Virginia

There were 69 cars involved in a pileup on Interstate 64 in Virginia closing both the westbound and eastbound lanes for hours.

At the time of the crashes, there was heavy fog and icy roads and bridges.

A series of crashes began at 7:51 am in the morning.

Over 50 people were injured, some of which suffered life-threatening injuries according to Virginia State Police.
