Aftershock Recorded in Halifax

There was a 2.6 magnitude aftershock this morning near Halifax.


It was centred 5 km east of Halifax.


This earthquake was also at a depth of 2 kilometres and was lightly felt in Dartmouth.


On Sunday night Earthquakes Canada has reported that a 2.6 magnitude earthquake 3 km east-northeast of Halifax, NS.


The earthquake was felt in the Halifax Metro region and Dartmouth, although only weak shaking was reported.


The area is generally not seismically active.
