Astronomers Discover Teardrop Shaped Star
Astronomers have made a discovery like no other.
They have identified a star that has been warped into a teardrop shape by the gravity of a much smaller red dwarf that is nearby.
Located 15,000 light-years away there are two halves of a star.
The star is designated HD74423.
Astronomers have never seen a star that has a teardrop shape.
