Confirmed Tornado in Alberta


Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed a tornado roughly 2 km northeast of Crossfield, Alberta on Sunday afternoon.


Severe thunderstorms developed across portions of southern and central Alberta during the afternoon.


There was a flipped and destroyed holiday trailer in the area. It was given a preliminary rating of an EF-0 with estimated wind speeds between 90 km/h and 130 km/h.


There were also reports of funnel clouds south of Gull Lake and over Grimshaw.


There was also hail, strong wind, and heavy rain.
