Critical fire risk and hot weather continues in Western States

A heatwave continues to grip much of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Utah.

Once again today temperatures are likely to reach record high vales.

Redding, California is expected to reach 110°F today. 117°F is expected in Yuma, Arizona. Las Vegas, Nevada is expected to reach 113°F.

There is also a critical fire danger area for the Four Corners. Isolated dry thunderstorms will be possible across much of the region today. Any lightning strikes could easily spark a wildfire.
