Dorian Knocks Out Power to Thousands and Causes Damage


As Post-Tropical Cyclone Dorian rages on across the Maritimes, power outages are beginning to mount.


As of 7:10 pm local time there are 334,450 outages in Nova Scotia, in New Brunswick 51,680 customers are without power. 35,856 customers across Prince Edward Island are without power.


There are two unplanned power outages in Newfoundland. One on Cherrington Place and Elliott's Place in Manuels and another on Georgetown Road in Corner Brook.


Widespread damage is being reported across Nova Scotia.


On South Park Street in Halifax, a construction crane fell onto a building that is under construction and cracked in half.


A roof on a building on Queen Street blew off.


Several trees are uprooted and some streets are flooded.
