Heavy Snow & Strong Wind to Lash Quebec and Ontario #meteoQC #ONstorm

A significant winter storm is impacting Ontario and Quebec today.
Heavy snow, along with blowing snow, and the risk of freezing rain is in the forecast today.
Generally speaking 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected in Southern Ontario. There is a risk of freezing rain for the Niagara region.
Over eastern sections of Ontario, including the nation’s capital, snowfall amounts of 20 to 35 cm are expected.
On Thursday, up to 30 centimetres of snow is possible near Lake Huron. In northeastern Ontario near the Quebec border, up to 15 cm is anticipated.
Travel is expected to be very dangerous on Wednesday night and Thursday.
In Quebec, this will be a three-day event. Southwestern Quebec as of Wednesday, Central Quebec on Thursday and Eastern Quebec on Friday.
In the heaviest snow in Quebec, up to 45 centimetres are possible.
