Intense heat is gripping Europe.
All-time hot temperature records have been broken in 12 countries.
After the hottest June on record, meteorologists say that Europe could see the hottest July on record.
Records have been kept since 1880.
In the U.K. the Met Office observations team has received a new figure of 38.7 Celsius from Cambridge University Botanic Garden. The current highest temperature on record for the UK is 38.5 Celsius, recorded in Faversham in August 2003.
France got up to 45.9 degrees Celsius and the hot weather isn't over yet.
Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands also broke record-breaking temperatures.
Heatwaves are only expected to get worse as climate change worsens.
