James Webb Space Telescope confirms the existence of an exoplanet

The James Webb Space Telescope has confirmed the existence of an exoplanet for the first time.

LHS 475 b, located 41 light-years away from Earth is a small, rocky planet and is about 99 percent of Earth’s diameter.

NASA says it’s almost exactly the same size as Earth.

Researchers have yet to determine if the planet hosts life, but will investigate further. NASA does say that the planet could potentially be habitable.
