Labrador Town Will Ban Plastic Bags

The town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay will ban plastic bags.

The ban takes effect on January 1st, 2020.

Happy Valley-Goose Bay council has received positive feedback on the ban.

Mayor Wally Andersen is hoping that other communities follow suit.

Since the ban is still about seven months away, businesses will have time to prepare.
