Lightning Kills 107 in India


107 people in northeastern India were killed by lightning on Thursday.


Officials say that 10 others were injured.


All the deaths were across the northeastern sections of the country near the border between Nepal and Bangladesh.


Several of the victims were hit while farming.


Lightning strikes are common in India during heavy monsoon rains.


Lightning strikes have been dominantly observed all over India.
