Mix of Winter Weather Expected Across NL

An area of low pressure currently centred over the southeastern United States will intensify and bring a mix of winter weather to Newfoundland and parts of Labrador beginning on Tuesday.

Snow is expected to begin overnight in Labrador and on the west coast of Newfoundland. In central Newfoundland, a rain and snow mix is expected. The Avalon Peninsula, Burin Peninsula, and the Clarenville area will see rain on Tuesday.

Rain will come to an end on Tuesday evening while snow will continue on the west coast of Newfoundland and coastal Labrador until Wednesday night.
