Poás Volcano has erupted in Costa Rica
The Poás Volcano has erupted in Costa Rica on September 30.
The volcano sent ash, with a 2 kilometer column, high into the air.
Officials were forced to close a popular park near San Jose.
There are fears it may erupt again.
Back on February 11, 2019 there was an eruption that began at 1:50 a.m. Monday and sent a column of ash 200 meters above the crater.
The Poás Volcano, is an active 2,708-metre stratovolcano in central Costa Rica and is located within Poas Volcano National Park. It has erupted 40 times since 1828.
