Police Dog Dies in Hot Car

A police K-9 in Long Beach, California died earlier this month after being left in a hot patrol car.

The police dog Ozzy died from heat exhaustion.

The incident is being treated as an accident.

At the time the officer and Ozzy were off duty. The temperature alarm in the vehicle may have malfunctioned.
