Rain, Freezing Rain and Snow Expected in Atlantic Canada

Atlantic Canada will be visited by two low pressure systems this weekend.

New Brunswick Rain, freezing rain and snow are expected today. Precipitation will begin this morning and continue throughout the day. Winds will gust to 80 km/h on Saturday.
Prince Edward Island A brief shot of rain is expected across the Island this afternoon. Wind gusts to 90 km/h are possible.
Nova Scotia A few showers are expected this afternoon, steadier rain is expected tonight. Wind gusts to 70 km/h are expected.
Newfoundland Snow is expected across Newfoundland today and tonight. Rain is expected across the south coast this afternoon and on the Avalon tonight.

Low #2
New Brunswick Snow is expected for northern sections, ice pellets for central sections, and rain for southern areas. Winds will gust from 50 km/h to 80 km/h on Sunday.
Prince Edward Island Snow and Ice pellets are expected on Sunday. 15 to 20 cm of snow and wind gusts to 50 km/h are expected.
Nova Scotia Ice pellets and freezing rain are expected for most of the province. Southern areas will likely remain as rain. 15 to 30 mm is expected for most areas and 25 to 35 mm in southern areas.
Newfoundland Snow is expected on Sunday evening and overnight.
Conditions improve on Monday night.
