Severe Flooding Hits China

Severe flooding has hit China displacing hundreds of thousands of people.

So far at least 25 people have died. Several other people are missing.

The Ministry of Emergency Management has stated that 228,000 people are being housed in emergency shelters.

Over 1,000 homes have been destroyed and the damage is estimated at $500 million.

China is generally hit by flooding each year.

It is expected to rain over Eastern China over the next few days.
