Severe Weather Forces Closure of Two Egyptian Ports

Severe weather in Egypt has forced the closure of two Mediterranean ports.

Port Alexandria and Port Dekheila have been closed.

The area is being battered by high waves and strong winds.

As a result, ships were prevented from entering or leaving the ports.

The Port of Alexandria is on the West Verge of the Nile Delta between the Mediterranean Sea and Mariut Lake in Alexandria, Egypt and is considered the second most important city and the main port in Egypt.

Winds were gusting to 60 km/h and waves were up to 2 metres.
