Severe weather outbreak likely for US South on Tuesday


On Tuesday there is a risk of severe weather across portions of Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.


On Tuesday afternoon and evening the Storm Prediction Center is predicting that a regional tornado outbreak is possible across parts of the lower to mid-Mississippi Valley. Significant and/or long-track tornadoes will be possible.


Severe thunderstorms are possible across the lower to mid-Mississippi Valley. Storms will extend from far northeastern Louisiana, southeastern Arkansas, northwestern Mississippi, and far southwestern Tennessee.


These storms have the potential to bring tornadoes, strong winds, and hail.
