Swimming Banned at all Mississippi Beaches after Algae Bloom


Swimming has been banned at all Mississippi beaches after an algae bloom.


Those going to the beaches are advised to not come into contact with the water.


Cyanobacteria can cause health issues in humans.


The algae bloom is continuing to expand.


Cyanobacteria can cause stomach cramps, rashes, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.


Officials are advising people to now eat fish where the bloom is present.
