Texas Low impacting Ontario and Quebec
A Texas Low is impacting Southern Ontario and Southern Quebec.
Southern Ontario
Snow will push across Southern Ontario over the course of the day. Snowfall amounts will vary from as little as 5 cm to as much as 20 cm.
Southwestern Ontario will see snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm. The GTA will see about 15 to 20 cm. Central and eastern Ontario will see 5 to 10 cm.
Visibility will be significantly reduced in heavy snow. There will be a significant impact on the Wednesday late afternoon and evening commute when the highest snowfall rates are expected.
More snow is expected on Thursday with 2 to 5 cm expected across Southern and Central Ontario and 10 to 15 cm across Eastern Ontario including Ottawa.
Southern Quebec
Across southwestern and central Quebec 15 to 25 centimetres of snow is expected. The snow will begin this evening with conditions gradually improving through the day on Thursday. Gusty winds will result in reduced visibility.
Across eastern Quebec, snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres is expected, winds gusting to over 70 km/h and blowing snow is also expected on Thursday.
