Thousands dead after neighbourhoods in Libya washed into ocean

Lybia is reeling after a storm slammed the eastern area of the country on Sunday washing entire neighbourhoods into the ocean.

Bodies continue to wash ashore.

Over 20,000 people are feared dead. Thousands remain missing.

The storm delivered flooding rain to the city of Derna that caused a nearby dam to burst which obliterated large parts of the city.

There are thousands more now homeless.

Countries such as the United States, Turkey, and the United Arab Emirates have said they will send aid.
