Thousands of Dead Sea Life Wash Ashore in Florida

Thousands of dead sea life washed ashore in southern Florida last week.

Everything from fish and crabs, to eels, washed onshore.

Both government agencies and researchers are working to determine a cause and while no cause has been officially determined, it would appear as though very warm waters may be the cause.

Warm water holds less dissolved oxygen than cold water.

As water loses oxygen, it becomes more hostile to life.
