Tornado Confirmed in Manitoba #MBstorm

Environment and Climate Change Canada has confirmed a tornado had touched down in Manitoba on Friday.


At approximately 7:15 pm CDT on Friday, July 17, 2020, a tornado was observed about 20 km south of Swan River.


While photos of the tornado were received, there were no reports of damage.


This tornado has been given a preliminary rating of EF0. Tornadoes measured as an EF0 typically has wind speeds between 105 and 137 km/h.


Manitoba averages between 8 and 14 tornadoes per season.
