Western University's Northern Tornadoes Project team has confirmed a tornado in Uxbridge, Ontario.

The tornado was an EF2 and was embedded within the leading edge of the derecho.

A derecho is a straight-line wind storm that is associated with a fast-moving group of severe thunderstorms.

The tornado occurred at 1:15 pm on Saturday and had a maximum wind speed of 195 km/h.
