Tornado Hits Little Rock

A tornado hit the suburbs of Little Rock, Arkansas this afternoon. As the storm approached the National Weather Service issued a Tornado Emergency.

Several injuries have been reported but the extent of the damage is unknown at this time.

There are several damaged homes and businesses and trees have been toppled. Homes have been reported as destroyed in north Little Rock and there were reports of homes completely destroyed in Oak Ridge. In the Leawood neighbourhood, there were reports of damage in Midtown.

A tornado outbreak is forecasted for today.
