Tropical Cyclone Fani has hit India's Odisha State.

It is the strongest storm to hit India since 1999.

There was flooding rain, strong wind, and storm surge.

This caused trees to be uprooted, widespread power outages and homes were destroyed.

More than 1.2 million residents were evacuated ahead of the storm.

Thousands of personnel have been deployed.
