Tropical Development Possible in the Atlantic

There is the possibility of a non-tropical low-pressure system developing in the Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the Azores tonight.

Environmental conditions in the area are perfect for tropical development and gradual development of this system is possible according to the U.S. National Hurricane Center.

Over the next few days, the low is expected to move slowly westward.

A tropical or subtropical depression could form on Tuesday or Wednesday before upper-level winds become unfavorable.

The formation chance through the next 5 days is medium at 50 percent.
