Underwater Memorial to U.S. Veterans Created

The United States is creating an underwater memorial to U.S. veterans in the Gulf of Mexico.

The underwater memorial will be known as the "Circle of Heroes" and is located at Veteran's Reef, about 15 kilometers off the coast of Dunedin Beach in Florida.

It will consist of 24 six-foot-tall concrete statues of servicemen and woman in a 30 meter circle.

A monument at the center of the circle will consist of five bronze emblems representing the Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

It will form an artificial reef.
