Worlds Largest Active Volcano Causing Concern
Mauna Loa, the worlds largest active volcano, is causing concern for federal officials in Hawaii.
The last time Mauna Loa erupted was March 24 to April 15, 1984.
There has been an increase in earthquakes and ground swelling in the area that could signal an eruption.
Mauna Loa is known for evolving very quickly.
The U.S. Geological Survey changed the alert level to "advisory".
An eruption is not imminent and current rates are not cause for alarm. However, they do indicate changes in the shallow magma storage system at Mauna Loa.
