Newfoundland and Labrador 

A major storm is getting set to impact Newfoundland and Labrador this weekend with snow, rain, and strong winds expected. To further complicate matters, extreme cold will impact the province.


Wind chill values between minus 35 and minus 40 are forecasted for tonight. Temperatures will moderate Saturday morning.


Wind chills of minus 35 to minus 50 are excepted through Saturday.

Today and Saturday, a low will impact eastern Quebec with snow and strong winds.

Southern Ontario

Parts of the area will see snow squalls today and Saturday. 5 to 10 cm of snow combined with gusty winds are possible today. Biting cold temperatures are also expected.

Northern Ontario

Wind chills near minus 40 to minus 55 will persist through the weekend.



Wind chills down to about minus 40 is expected through the week in the overnight hours.

British Columbia

Wind warnings are in effect for the lower mainland. winds will gust to 90 km/h this evening. 25 to 50 cm of snow is expected by Saturday morning for Highway 97 - Pine Pass.
