Porters Lake Fire 30 Percent Contained

As of Saturday evening the Porters Lake bushfire was 40 hectares in size.

Crews backed off from the blaze overnight, which is a common practice.

The area did get some frost overnight which assisted in keeping fire growth minimal.

As of this morning the fire is only 30 percent contained.

170 homes have been evacuated so far, impacting roughly 1,000 residents.
