150 People Killed by Lightning in India

From August to September 150 people have been killed by lightning in India.

The State of Madhya Pradesh has had the highest number of deaths in the country in August-September this year.

There has been an unusual amount of thunderstorms across the state this year.

Between April 1 and July 1, 102 people died after being hit by lightning.

The heat and record rainfall is believed to be responsible for most of the thunderstorms.
