3 People Dead After Drowning off Califorian Coast

Three people are dead after being washed out to sea in Southern California on Thursday.

It was not immediately clear how the people ended up in the ocean. Their identities were not released.

An investigation is underway by the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

No other people were reported missing.

The Ventura County and Oxnard Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard attended the scene.
