5 Dead After Helicopter Crash in the French Alps

A rescue helicopter crashed in poor weather in the French Alps on Tuesday killing five of the six people on board.

Officials said the helicopter was flying at a height of 5,900 feet when it crashed near the town of Bonvillard.

At the time the crew was conducting training exercises.

Weather conditions at the time were described as overcast with snow.

Several rescue teams were sent to the crash site but they had trouble reaching the site due to fog.
