6.6 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia

This afternoon there was a 6.6 magnitude earthquake 257.4 km south of Sinabang, Indonesia.


There were no reports of damage. The earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.


BMKG, Indonesia's weather and geophysics agency, measured the earthquake at 7.2 magnitudes.


There was also no tsunami danger.


Earthquakes are a frequent occurrence in Indonesia.
