800,000 People Evacuated Ahead of Tropical Cyclone Fani



People in low-lying areas of northeastern India are being evacuated ahead of Tropical Cyclone Fani.


In less than 24 hours, Tropical Cyclone Fani is expected to make landfall.


800,000 will be evacuated before the storm makes landfall. The largest in the country's history.


The Navy is on standby and hundreds of disaster personnel have been deployed in Odisha state.


Fani is expected to make landfall on Friday morning. It is equivalent to a category 4.
