A rainy weekend ahead for parts of Ontario

An area of low pressure will move over parts of northeastern and far northeastern Ontario on Saturday and linger into Sunday.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are expected on Saturday, and on Sunday, parts of central and southwestern Ontario could also see 30 to 50 mm of rain. Rain will also advance southward into portions of southern and southwestern Ontario.

This heavy rain has the potential to cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads. Flooding may occur in low-lying areas.
