Never mind the scary costumes, the weather will be scary enough across many regions of Canada this evening.
This evening, Southern Ontario, Southern Quebec and coastal British Columbia will be wet tonight. There is good guidance agreement on the general placement of rain bands and heavy pockets.
There could be some localized flooding or standing water in low-lying urban areas in Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City.
If you’re in Montreal, Ottawa or Québec City tonight, carry an umbrella, allow extra travel time, and avoid driving through standing water.
Across Atlantic Canada, it will be wet in many areas and windy in Newfoundland.
In Winnipeg, watch for a rain-snow mix late in the evening. In the Prairies, expect cold but mainly dry conditions.
